Senior Business Development Advisor – Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency

International Law Firm | Paris | Fixed-Term Contract | July 2026 to Early 2027

Our client, a leading international law firm, is looking for a Senior Business Development Advisor to support its Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Paris, with additional exposure to the Energy & Infrastructure sector.

This is a highly visible, partner-facing role offering strong international exposure and close collaboration with senior stakeholders in Paris, London and across the firm’s global network.

As part of a sophisticated international BD and Marketing team, you will play a key role in supporting the execution of strategic Business Development initiatives, strengthening client relationships, coordinating high-quality pitches and ensuring strong alignment between local, regional and global priorities.

This opportunity would suit a BD or Marketing professional currently working within an international law firm or professional services environment, looking for a strategic, fast-paced and internationally connected role within a leading global platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the Business Development strategy for the Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Paris
• Work closely with partners and lawyers to identify client opportunities, market trends and cross-selling initiatives
• Support strategic client development through account planning, tailored client engagement and effective CRM coordination
• Coordinate and contribute to high-quality pitches, proposals, RFPs, panel submissions and credentials
• Ensure strong follow-up after pitches, including tracking, reporting and client feedback where relevant
• Contribute to the firm’s market visibility through legal directories, awards, league tables, Chambers and Legal 500 submissions
• Produce high-quality BD and marketing materials, including client briefings, thought leadership content, credentials and event collateral
• Support campaigns, client events and targeted marketing initiatives linked to Banking, Restructuring, Insolvency and Energy & Infrastructure
• Collaborate with global BD, sector, client and marketing teams to ensure consistent and high-quality execution
• Build and maintain strong market knowledge across the Banking, Finance, Restructuring, Insolvency and Energy & Infrastructure sectors

Profile

• Previous experience in Business Development, Marketing or Client Development within a law firm or professional services environment
• Exposure to Banking, Finance, Restructuring, Insolvency, Energy & Infrastructure or related legal practices would be a strong advantage
• Proven experience supporting pitches, RFPs, proposals, client development and BD strategy execution
• Comfortable working directly with partners, lawyers and senior stakeholders
• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken

Salary & Benefits

• Fixed-term contract from July 2026 to early 2027
• Salary calculated on an annual base of up to €72,000, paid over 13 months, depending on profile and experience, and prorated for the duration of the contract
• Discretionary bonus of up to 20%, subject to eligibility and company policy
