Senior Business Development Advisor – Disputes

Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations | International Law Firm | Paris

Our client, a leading international law firm, is looking for a Senior Business Development Advisor to support the growth of its highly regarded Disputes practice, covering Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations.

Based in Paris and working closely with senior stakeholders across Europe, this is a highly visible BD role offering strong international exposure, regular partner interaction and the opportunity to contribute to the development of a major global practice group.

Reporting into London, you will play a key role in driving the BD and marketing strategy for the Paris LAI practice, while also acting as a key point of contact for Antitrust & Foreign Investment and IP-TMT matters.

This opportunity would suit a BD or Marketing professional currently working within an international law firm or professional services environment, looking to step into a more strategic, partner-facing and internationally connected role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of the Business Development strategy for the Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice in Paris
  • Support partners on client development, strategic account planning and targeted client engagement
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality pitches, proposals, credentials, RFPs and panel submissions
  • Work closely with global BD, sector and client teams to align local priorities with international growth objectives
  • Identify market trends, client opportunities and cross-selling initiatives across practices and jurisdictions
  • Enhance the firm’s external profile through legal directories, awards, league tables, Chambers and Legal 500 submissions
  • Develop impactful BD and marketing collateral, thought leadership campaigns, client briefings and events
  • Ensure effective use of CRM systems, client intelligence and pipeline tracking
  • Build trusted relationships with partners, lawyers and international BD colleagues

Profile

  • Previous experience in Business Development, Marketing or Client Development within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong exposure to Disputes, Litigation, Arbitration or Investigations would be highly valuable
  • Proven experience supporting pitches, RFPs, client targeting, legal directories and BD strategy execution
  • Comfortable working directly with partners and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced international environment
  • Strong writing, project management and communication skills
  • Commercially minded, proactive, structured and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Fluent French and English, both written and spoken

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to €72,000 on a 13-month basis, depending on experience
  • Discretionary bonus up to 20%
